Figured I'd throw in my two cents here. When restoring vintage equipment I really like to keep them as original as possible, including using the correct new old stock parts when I can. However, when it came to restoring the power supply on my Altair I decided to go with brand new Vishay capacitors from Mouser. Sure it doesn't have the exact same look as the originals, but I have a lot more faith that my new capacitors will continue to work well into the future.
